Weekend Creative

This is a Weekend Creative project I finally put together. I say 'finally' because Ali Edwards put this challenge up at her blog back in February. No time like the present to complete it, right? lol Instead of using cardstock, I punched the heart-shapes out of interesting pictures I found in some old magazines.

Eleven is the new twelve ;)

Here's my entry for the 12 of 12 challenge....although it's only 11 of 12. The twelfth was uneventful in my little corner of the world so I struggled even to get 11 photos. Oh well...thanks for taking a peek :)

Details: Top row, L to R: woke up at 7:30AM, the view from my bedroom window, my list of photos to post at Flickr for my 365 project (long overdue!), picked the first 2 tomatoes from my plant! 2nd row: Cutting & eating the homegrown tomatoes, writing "Ali E. style" on some photos, did some grocery shopping, did the dishes. 3rd row: where there is clean laundry there you'll find Gigi, basil & Bachelor's Buttons growing in the garden, pizza for dinner. *I see I left out a self-portrait. That should've been my 12th. Oh well. :)

My son's hands. Here he's working on his Xbox 360 that he took apart. It wasn't working so he fixed it himself. He's such a smart guy and so tech savvy! TFL!

...and that means it's time for '12 of 12' :) I'm all over today, taking pictures for my layout. Wanna join in? It's never too late!

*Update July 14: I've got my LO's together & here they are...

1. woke up w/a cat laying on me 2. in A.M., found neighbor's dog in our front yard 3. HI! 4. swept porch & cleaned glass door 5. had H write down what we needed at the grocery store 6. while running errands we saw someone dressed up as a pink & black T-Mobile cell phone LOL

7. while buying cat food at the vet's, the clinic mascot cat snooped in my purse :) 8. today's drawing on the Doodle Pro that's on the fridge 9. H & friend at Joann's, posing with the letters of their names 10. (I guess this should be #9) went to Joann's for fabric so H could make her friend a costume 11. the soundtrack of my day today {Michael Buble, Sade's greatest hits, Norah Jones, Keith Urban, Amy Grant, Ingrid Michaelson and 'Something's Gotta Give' soundtrack} 12. went for evening drive with H, took pictures of the moon and the city lights.

We Spy : You Spy's Something #21 is Patriotic...

This is on our front door. I missed an opportunity for pictures early this morning--there was a little neighborhood parade that passed right in front of our house. I heard a couple of sirens and by the time I realized it was the little neighborhood parade and got my camera, I was only able to click a few lame shots. Oh well. :) While we're on the subject of 'patriotic'...I hope you Canadians had a great Canada Day!
